Mazda MX-5 Roadster Coupe introduces iPod facility as standard

Mazda Motors UK has announced that it is standardising iPod connectivity and offering an Apple iPod Nano on all six models in the MX-5 Roadster Coupe.

The connection will be situated in the glove box, while the MP3 player itself can be controlled by the driver while on the go.

With controls located on the steering wheel itself, it raises the possibility of motorists being able to download the latest tunes on the internet in the morning before listening to them through the car's audio system on their way to work.

Rob Lindley, managing director of Mazda Motors UK, commented on the standardisation of the feature.

"Demand for this new model is very strong and will be boosted further by equipping every Roadster Coupe with both iPod connectivity and an Apple iPod Nano as standard."

The Japanese-based manufacturer sells several performance-based ranges at Mazda car dealerships throughout the UK, including the 2-series, the 3-series, the 6-series and the RX-8.
