Mazda MX-5 "delivers pure motoring thrills"
It seems drivers with a taste for adventure can still get an adrenaline rush from the Mazda MX-5, with the model picking up an accolade from Auto Express in recent days.The model overcame the challenge of numerous shortlisted rival cars to win its class in the 2008 Auto Express Used Car Honours, in the publication's annual awards.
Commenting on the model's win, the publication said: "Not only is the MX-5 the world's bestselling sportscar, it has also won over us loyal Brits. It's poised to knock the classic MGB off the top spot for both popularity and parts supply in the UK."
Ashley Feldman, British Car Auctions general manager, said both the new and older models will fend off most sportscar rivals "in every way", recommending them as a pair.
In recent days, it was announced that Mazda is to extend its involvement with exciting sports as a sponsor of the 2009 World Aerobatics Championships, which will be held at Silverstone next summer.
