Carmaker Mazda has launched its fastest model and highest performing saloon in the UK.
The impressive Mazda6 MPS has the best braking and handling of any Mazda to date and comes with a top speed of over 150mph.
On sale this month, the Mazda6 MPS features 18-inch diameter, seven-inch wide 15-spoke aluminium alloy wheels, a turbocharged 2.3-litre petrol engine, generating 260ps and 380Nm of torque, new positive-shift six-speed manual transmission and front, side and curtain airbags.
Fitted with Active Torque Split All-Wheel Drive system, ABS, EBD, cruise control and TCS as standard, the Mazda6 MPS comes complete with a Bose audio system with intelligent sound equalisation and a six-CD autochanger with steering-wheel mounted controls.
The vehicle also complies with stringent European Union Euro 4 emissions standards and has a sunroof, bucket-style seats, dual exhaust pipes and bi-Xenon headlamps. Each version of the super saloon will be mechanically identical, but customers will be able to select from a range of paint colours and other specifications.

The new Mazda6 MPS, which will go on sale in the first quarter of 2006, builds on that reputation and further epitomises the Mazda brand, with its performance, sports styling and exhilarating dynamics, plus practicality that’s unrivalled in the upper medium sector."
Available from £26,950, Mazda UK will have a limited allocation of right-hand drive versions of the six series MPS.
