Mazda has revealed that it will unveil its all-new Mazda 6 at next month's Frankfurt Motor Show.
The updated family car, which will be known as the Mazda Atenza in some countries, will be shown to the press on September 11th before motorists get the chance to set eyes on it for the first time between September 15th and 23rd.
The all-new Mazda 6 is a full redesign of the existing model, but the Japanese manufacturer insists it will maintain the company's "tradition of responsive handling and performance".
It also promises that the new model will represent a step forward in quality and offer "strengthened environmental and safety performance".
Next month will also see the first UK deliveries of Mazda's new high-performance sports crossover model, the CX-7.
The £23,960 CX-7, which the manufacturer describes as an "urban soft-roader with plenty of attitude and great dynamics", has a top speed of 130 mph and is capable of accelerating from 0 to 62 mph in just eight seconds.
