Mazda6 named best large family car
The Mazda 6-series has been praised as the best large family car around, motorists may be interested to know.In the newly-published Environmental Transport Association's (ETA's) car buyers' guide 2007, the 6-series was named the best buy in the Large Family Car category.
It comes as recognition for the fuel efficiency of the Mazda6 2-litre diesel model, which can manage 47 miles per gallon on a combined cycle.
Following the news, Rob Lindley, managing director of Mazda Motors UK, outlined the qualities of the 6-series.
"In its latest form, with diesel power and a six-speed transmission, it is an extremely fuel-efficient, refined and safe car - an achievement acknowledged by the ETA award," he said.
Earlier this month, Mazda unveiled details of the new limited-edition MX-5 2-litre ZSport.
The model features a range of stylish external features, such as ebony mica bodypaint, a specially-designed chrome front grille and 17-ins alloys.
