Mazda6 Estate scoops award
For the third year in succession the Mazda6 Estate has been named as the best towcar in its class at The Caravan Club's annual awards.Judges agreed that "the Mazda6 gets the job done" when it comes to towing, thanks to its "faultless" handbrake and gearbox.
An independent panel picked out the Mazda6 Estate from forty-two other cars, all of which were put through their paces in a range of tests to determine their towing capabilities.
The Mazda6 Estate was last updated in 2005 and now features an optimised engine designed to lower the cars fuel consumption rate.
Mark Cameron from Mazda UK comments: "Whether you are towing a caravan to a motorsport event, a horse box to the county show, or a jet ski trailer to the beach, the Mazda6 Estate has proved over the past three years of awards from The Caravan Club Towcar of the Year that it consistently rates highly thanks to its flexibility, dynamic handling and great engine."
Mazda was founded in 1920 and began manufacturing car engines in 1929.
