Mazda6 becomes one of Scotland's top-selling cars

The Mazda 6-series is proving popular among Scottish motorists as it is confirmed as one of the country's top-selling vehicles for November.

Overall, the Japanese automaker sold 550 cars across all of its lines in Scotland last month, giving it a 4.5 per cent share of the total market, reports Easier.

This has been helped by strong demand for the 6-series, which entered the list of the top ten Scottish best sellers for the first time.

"We are really pleased with the performance of the Mazda6, which accounted for just under half of our total sales and pushed up to number eight in the charts," commented Jeremy Thomson, sales director at Mazda.

Mr Thomson attributed the sales boost in part to a "very loyal customer base".

Last month, David Cashmore, fleet manager at the McArthur Group, commented on approval for the company's acquisition of Mazda6 MPS models.

He described feedback among the commercial equipment supplier's users as "very positive" for the high performance variant of the 6-series.
