New model may encourage more drivers to drop in on Mazda dealerships
Drivers looking for an auto that can help them save money at the pump but that also boasts excellent performance may want to pay a visit to their local Mazda car dealership.The manufacturer's new Mazda3 MPS recently improved on its official fuel economy figure by 43.48 per cent.
During the MPG Marathon - an event designed to highlight the benefits of adopting eco-friendly habits behind the wheel - the model achieved 41.75 mpg.
In addition to its economical nature, the auto is also more responsive than its predecessor, the carmaker claimed.
The group explained this has been achieved through new power steering, modified suspension and a stiffer chassis and bodyshell.
Iain Robertson, who drove the vehicle at the MPG Marathon, stated: "On the technical front, its throttle control is outstanding, the engine's responses are instant and the clutch and gearshift action is simply stunning."
The auto arrived in Mazda car dealerships up and down the country at the beginning of October.
Meanwhile, the manufacturer enjoyed its best Scottish sales figures ever last month.
