Mazda3 is 'the ultimate sporty, family car'

The revised Mazda3 is to be unveiled at next month's Los Angeles Auto Show, the manufacturer has announced.

According to the company, the car has been redesigned for the first time in five years and is the latest evolution in its next generation Zoom-Zoom products.

The updated model follows the all-new Mazda2 and Mazda6 which were released in 2007.

Every element of the vehicle has been improved resulting in a quieter, more economical and refined ride, the manufacturer claimed.

It added the model's environmental and safety features achieve a balance with its fun-to-drive qualities.

"The all-new Mazda3 is everything a driver could ask for in a sporty, family car," the company concluded.

Since its launch in 2003, approximately 1.8 million of the model have been sold worldwide.

The vehicle has also won upwards of 90 motoring awards.

Meanwhile, the Mazda MX-5 was named best roadster at the Auto Express Used Car Awards last month.
