Subaru diesel car brings festive cheer to charity
Drivers with their eye on purchasing a diesel car this winter may be intrigued to learn that the Subaru Forester has taken centre stage in a charity drive to Lapland.Sarah Turner of Hingham, Norfolk, sat behind the wheel of the vehicle in order to deliver children's Christmas letters to Santa Claus.
Speaking before the adventure, she said: "The diesel Forester will be the perfect travelling companion for what is sure to be a very challenging trip."
Ms Turner went on to add: "Once I hit the winter weather the Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive will take good care of me."
Also, she noted that the motor boasts plenty of space to store the children's letters - written by young ones cared for by the East Anglia's Children's Hospices.
Elsewhere, fans of off-roaders may welcome news that Subaru's new Outback was recently named Sport Utility of the Year by Motor Trend magazine.
