Land Rover takes acclaim
Land Rover has been awarded the Queen's Award for Enterprise in two categories this year.For the development of Land Rover's new Terrain Response System the company has been awarded the Queen's Award for Innovation.
Also, thanks to an increase in export sales - a rise of 52 per cent in the last year - the company has also been awarded the Queen's Award for International Trade.
The company now exports over 75 per cent of its Defender, Freelander 2, Discovery 3 and Range Rover models.
Phil Popham, managing director of Land Rover, said: "It demonstrates we are building and selling desirable and technically advanced cars around the world and generating significant wealth for Britain."
Jaguar Land Rover has also recently announced that the company will be having a recruitment drive where 60 Advanced Apprenticeships will be offered to enthusiastic school-leavers who are looking for a career in the automotive industry.
