Land Rover announces LRX concept for Geneva

Motor manufacturer Land Rover is to show off two different versions of its LRX concept at the Geneva Motor Show this week.

The model, which originally appeared in white at a Detroit show in January, will be at the exhibition alongside a new black and silver, more contemporary vehicle.

Land Rover believes that the car is a "bold evolution" of the company's design principles, although it still follows the ideology of the company.

Gerry McGovern, design director for the Gaydon, Warwickshire-based company, said that the concept has been put together "to show how well the vehicle can deliver a contemporary example of personalisation".

He added: "The LRX concept already has an abundance of character, but you can tune the appearance to reflect a customer's own personality and lifestyle."

Meanwhile, automobile manufacturer Ford is reportedly expected to complete the sale of the Land Rover brand along with Jaguar this month.
