Range Rover TdV8 Vogue declared best 4x4 around
Land Rover's models have taken the top three places at a 4x4 awards ceremony, in news that is expected to fuel demand for the marquee's top brands. The UK's top off-roaders were revealed by Planet 4x4 magazine, after votes were cast by a host of specialist vehicle testers.
And top of the pile is apparently the Range Rover TdV8 Vogue.
Meanwhile, the Discovery 2.7 TdV6 HSE came second and the Range Rover Sport Supercharged HSE was voted third.
Commenting on the verdict, Planet 4x4's editor Alan Kidd said: "It's only fair to recognise the extent to which the Range Rover, Discovery and Range Rover Sport impressed the most experienced team of testers ever put together by a British 4x4 magazine."
The Range Rover brand was originally conceived as an off-roader belonging to the British automaker Rover.
Although it was sold off to American automaker Ford in 2000, it is still based in Britain today.
