Land Rover launches ad campaign with Zara Phillips
A Land Rover advert starring the Queen's granddaughter Zara Phillips is set to hit TV screens this week, straight after the horse rider picked up the title of BBC Sports Personality of the Year.Ms Phillips is pictured in a mud-splattered designer dress under the headline "Beautifully poised", in a campaign that is expected to boost sales for the 4x4 automaker.
Earlier this week, Ms Phillips won the sports personality title from the BBC in recognition of her horse-riding achievements - she won gold at the World Equestrian Games in August.
However, a spokesman for Land Rover has highlighted that the new TV campaign is indicative of "our long-standing support for her".
"We've been supporting her for some time now," he said.
"We will be doing another advert with her next year that sees her in action as a three-day eventer."
Meanwhile, Easier has reported that Citroen was also involved in the sports personality awards ceremony.
Sporting celebrities such as Linford Christie and Gary Lineker were transported to the event in Birmingham by a fleet of 25 Citroen vehicles, including the new C4 Picasso.
