Land Rover Freelander 2 offers family entertainment

Land Rover has unveiled details of a range of customisable features that can be added to the standard Freelander 2 package.

The Freelander 2 is set to go on sale in Land Rover car dealerships from December 7th 2006 and will be available with either a 2.2-litre turbocharged diesel engine or a 3.2-litre petrol engine.

However, motorists looking to please their kids when choosing specifications for the new off-roader may wish to consider installing rear screen entertainment systems.

Fitted into the headrests, these 5.6-inch LCD screens are compatible with a range of audio and video devices.

For instance, back-seat passengers can connect their iPods to listen to chart tunes on the road, or they may prefer to plug in a portable DVD player to watch the very latest home entertainment releases.

Production on the Freelander 2 began back in October at the Halewood car manufacturing plant in the north-west of England.
