Land Rover Freelander 2 'appeals to motorists with baggage'
The Land Rover Freelander 2 could prove an ideal choice for people who have to regularly transport a large amount of baggage, according to an automotive journalist.Michael Harvey, editor of Top Gear magazine, has made the comments after the second-generation Freelander picked up the title of SUV [Sports Utility Vehicle] of the Year at the BBC motoring programme's annual awards ceremony, reports Easier.
The Freelander 2 is currently available at Land Rover car dealerships across the UK after going on sale earlier this month and Mr Harvey has explained who it might appeal to most.
"If you need to go on a road trip with a load of baggage and people - and want to do it comfortably, safely and in style - then in the compact SUV sector the Freelander 2 is the only choice," he said.
Meanwhile, Land Rover's managing director described the awards recognition as an "outstanding accolade".
The Freelander 2 may also appeal to motorists looking to support the British manufacturing industry since the Land Rover car has been entirely produced at a car plant in Merseyside.
