Land Rover announces commercial derivative of Discovery 3
Land Rover has confirmed that its Discovery 3 4x4 will soon be made available as a commercial vehicle, in news that may be of interest to companies looking to renew their fleet of high-powered vehicles.From March 19th 2007, the British automaker will offer buyers the opportunity to choose between either a standard Discovery 3 or a Discovery 3 XS Commercial.
Both of these vehicles have received approval from HM Revenue & Customs and so will be reclassed as an N1 Light Commercial 4x4 Vehicle, meaning business owners are entitled to reclaim VAT associated with commercial vehicles and benefit in kind tax.
"The launch of the Discovery 3 Commercial means that for the first time, customers are now able to purchase a Land Rover-approved Discovery 3 commercial vehicle," commented John Edwards, managing director of Land Rover UK.
"The Discovery Commercial will further redefine the 4x4 commercial segment."
While owned by the American automaker Ford, the British-based automaker maintains a range of Land Rover car dealerships across the UK.
These sell vehicles such as the Range Rover Sport, the second-generation Freelander and the third-generation Discovery.
