Car manufacturer KKia has announced that it has won two awards at the prestigious Auto Express Used Car Honours 2006, which are based on a range of factors such as depreciation and reliability.
The Kia Sedona was named Best Large MPV at the annual awards, the fourth time the vehicle has won the prize in five years and the second year in a row, while the Kia Picanto scooped the Best Small Car gong for the first time.
The Picanto came top earlier this year in a Parkers Price Guide Residual Values Survey and the compact is one of the company's top-selling cars, along with the seven-seater Sedona. The company is delighted with the Auto Express wins and a commendation for the Kia Sorento in the 4x4 off-roader category.
KKia has seen strong growth in its retail and fleet markets over the past year. Based in Seoul, South Korea, KKia Motors was the fastest growing car company in the world in 2004 and now has around 170 dealerships in the UK.
KKia Motors UK managing director, Paul Williams, commented: "This has been a great year for our used vehicles as we have seen great residuals prices across the Kia range. We have worked really hard to ensure that our cars are great value both new and used so that customers can be always guaranteed a good deal."
The carmaker is preparing to launch the KKia Used Car Scheme early this summer, which will provide customers with provenance and mileage checks, a rigorous pre-sales examination on all approved used cars and a 12 month warranty.
