Kia Venga 'a great car deal for eco-drivers'

The Kia Venga could a superb choice for those looking for an environmentally-friendly car deal.

Peter Schreyer, the company's chief design officer, underlined the potentially benefits of investing in such a motor.

"We have designed a car that will fulfil European consumers' practical requirements, while also being genuinely desirable and fun to drive."

The comments follow news that the vehicle has been awarded the iF product design prize in the Transportation Design category.

As such, it may suit style-conscious consumers down to the ground, with its choice of seven engines.

The Venga 1.4 CRDi will be the most economical – featuring Idle Stop & Go technology, which could be music to the ears of eco-drivers.

Elsewhere, it may not have escaped the attention of many car fans that recent mother Sam Smyth named her newborn baby Kia – in homage to the manufacturer.

This was because she gave birth in the back of a Carens model on their way to hospital.
