Kia unveils Koup concept
Kia Motors has shown off its new Koup concept at the New York International Auto Show. The Koup is a two-door four-seater vehicle with a sporty look comprising a "purposeful" upper grille, advanced headlamps, panoramic glass roof and carbon fibre detailing.
It comes with a range of hi-tech features, including a smart key with push button start, an eight-speaker system and an integrated Bluetooth navigation system.
The car makes use of a 2.0-litre Theta II turbocharged engine that can produce 290 bhp using gasoline direct injection (GDI), as well as a twin scroll turbocharger.
"By injecting fuel directly into the cylinders under high pressure, using the Kia GDI system, the intake charge is cooled and combustion is improved," Kia said in a statement.
"This type of combustion results in excellent fuel economy and low emissions whilst providing excellent torque."
The New York International Auto Show runs until March 31st at the Jacob Javits Convention Centre.
