Kia to unveil sporty concept
Kia is to unveil its new Sports Coupe Concept at next month's Frankfurt International Motor Show. The South Korean automaker is best known for producing solid, practical family cars, but that could change when people set eyes on the 2+2.
The concept car will usher in a new era for the carmaker and ensure it is in future associated with exciting and surprising vehicles, claimed Kia's chief design officer Peter Schreyer.
However, he insisted the new car is not simply an attention-grabbing, but unmarketable super car that will fade from memory after the motor show is over.
"It incorporates a host of elements that will become the new face-of-Kia right across our product range and it is the clearest design statement about the way I want Kia to be seen," explained Mr Schreyer.
Kia will also unveil the Pro-cee'd - a three-door version of its c'eed hatchback - in Frankfurt.
