Kia offers advice to hard-up motorists
Cash-strapped motorists looking to cut costs may benefit from taking onboard advice from Kia.The manufacturer acknowledged that in the current economic climate some drivers are keen to reduce their spending.
It suggested by changing their habits behind the wheel, people will be able to make significant savings.
Spokesman Steve Kitson said it was important to drive smoothly, as this lowers fuel consumption.
He added sticking to the speed limit is another way motorists can save money at the pump.
Mr Kitson also advised vehicle owners to avoid using the air conditioning when travelling under 30 mph, suggesting drivers simply open a window instead.
In addition, it was recommended that cars are regularly serviced, as having the correct tyre pressure and checking the engine oil can improve the economy of a motor.
Meanwhile, the Kia Soul recently received an honourable mention in the Automobile Transport and Caravan category at the Red Dot design awards in Germany.
