Kia guarantee could attract used car buyers

The number of used car buyers making their way to Kia dealerships across the UK could increase as the result of a recent announcement from the manufacturer.

Drivers may be impressed to hear some second-hand models will soon come with seven-year warranties.

The carmaker's new vehicles already come with this sort of guarantee and the company said it was keen to offer the same peace of mind to people buying used motors.

In order to be eligible, models will have to be less than 18 months old and have no more than 18,000 miles on the clock.

Head of fleet and remarketing at Kia Andrew Sellars commented: "Just because you are buying second-hand, doesn't mean you have to be treated as second-class.

"Why should used customers miss out on all the benefits that come with a new car?"

The seven-year warranty will be made available to people buying second-hand vehicles from next month.

In other news, staff from Kia recently raised more than £100,000 through various Red Nose Day activities.
