Kia does its bit for charity
Kia dealerships from across the UK have helped to raise money for Comic Relief. The manufacturer teamed up with British Car Auctions (BCA) to organise a sale of 15 "tweaked, tuned and pimped" part-exchange vehicles.
All of the cars were sold and a total of £7,400 was raised during the Red Nose Day event.
The vehicles that went under the hammer included a Nissan 'Love Machine' and a Fiat 'Tiger' which raised £1,700.
Craig Purvey from BCA described the revamped models as "marvellous creations".
Meanwhile, managing director of Kia Paul Philpott said he was extremely proud of the effort put in by the people who prepared the cars.
He stated: "Red Nose Day is all about a positive change through the power of entertainment and our Kia dealers very much embraced this mission with the pimped part-ex event."
In other news, the manufacturer recently drove away with AM magazine's Carmaker of the Year award.
