Kia comes out on top
Motorists looking at buying a car in the coming months may want to consider paying a visit to their local Kia dealership.The manufacturer was recently named Carmaker of the Year by the motor trade magazine AM.
Described as having a "clear strategy", the company was also praised for the strength of the relationships it fosters with its dealers.
Managing director Paul Philpott was presented the honour by the BBC newsreader Huw Edwards.
The anchorman congratulated Mr Philpott and stated: "This award is really well deserved."
He added: "Kia is fast becoming a true mainstream brand with great potential."
Mr Philpott expressed delight at receiving the title and said he expected the company's reputation to grow even further as a result of the soon-to-be-released Soul.
The manufacturer's latest model has been described as a small car with the kind of flexibility usually associated with an MPV or SUV.
It is due to arrive in showrooms on March 1st.
