Kia Sorento owners who are worried about residual values have been offered reassurance by the South Korean automaker.
According to independent research cited by the company, the sports utility vehicle retains approximately 70 per cent of its value when coming back up for resale after three years.
Meanwhile, the automaker has also published depreciation figures for a host of its other vehicles, which are currently available at many Kia car dealerships across the UK.
The Kia Picanto apparently holds 62 per cent of its value three years down the line, while the Rio maintains 65 per cent of its residual value after a year.
"It's increasingly more obvious that [the] KKia product isn't just about being good value as an initial purchase," remarked Paul Philpott, managing director of KKia Motors.
"The product is also a key performer when it comes to selling on."
Launched in 2003, the Sorento's go-anywhere ethos is underlined by its name, which is derived from an Italian town on the famously precipitous Amalfi coast.
