Kia Sorento tops SUV towcar poll
The Kia Sorento has been voted Towcar of the Year by the Caravan Club for the second year in succession.Caravan drivers are notoriously hard to please, but the Sorento managed to fend off competition from some of the biggest name 4x4 vehicles on the market to scoop the accolade.
Organisers of the awards cited the Kia's load-lugging ability, comfort and flexibility, as well as value for money as the reasons why the Sorento 2.5 CRDi XE Manual model came out on top.
Beefed-up road cars and 4x4 are often considered the best option for caravan owners, but Kia says the retention of the best towcar award shows what the Sorento can offer consumers.
President of Kia Motors UK, Mr B K Jang, said: "When Sorento captured this title last year we were delighted – to win it for a second year in a row shows just how good Sorento is.
"Modern caravanning is not just about low-cost family holidays and many dedicated caravan and mobile home owners want luxury and flexibility from their cars even."
The fastest growing car company in the world in 2004, Kia now has 170 dealerships in the UK.
