Kia dealerships 'offering big cars with small carbon footprint'
Motorists looking for a big auto with a small impact on the environment may want to pay a visit to their local Kia car dealership.According to Paul Horrell from the Telegraph, the new Sorento is a relatively green choice compared to many other 4x4s.
The auto boasts CO2 emissions of 171 g/km and is significantly more economical than its predecessor, the journalist pointed out.
He explained the manufacturer has achieved lower fuel consumption through the use of a new diesel engine and a revised six-speed transmission.
In addition, the model weighs 215 kg less than the auto it is replacing.
Safety-conscious motorists may also be impressed to hear the car was awarded a maximum five-star rating by Euro Ncap, following its performance in the group's crash tests.
Commenting on the vehicle, Mr Horrell concluded: "It's more than competent, the engine is excellent and it has seven seats. Balance all that against price and it presents a stout left-brain argument."
The model made its debut earlier this month at the Frankfurt International Motor Show.
