Honour may encourage eco-friendly motorists to visit Kia dealerships
A recent award may encourage motorists looking for green autos to visit their local Kia car dealership.The Institute of Transport Management has crowned the manufacturer UK Automotive Company for 2010.
According to the group, the carmaker is a worthy winner because of "its innovative and dynamic efforts to lead the way towards a healthier industry in both financial and environmental terms".
This is the second time Kia has been recognised in this way.
Managing director Michael Cole said to receive the award twice in the space of three years was "overwhelming".
He added the honour demonstrates the company's commitment to building excellent, affordable cars that have minimal impact on the planet.
Mr Cole concluded by thanking the Institute of Transport Management for acknowledging the group's efforts in this area.
In other news, Kia is due to unveil its all-new Venga and the revised Sorento at the Frankfurt International Motor Show next week.
