The Kia Sedona is preparing to play its own small part in music history, following news that it has been picked by From the Jam to ferry around the band on a national tour.
From The Jam is made up of two-thirds of the members of mod legends The Jam and they are setting off on a 20-date sold-out tour to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the band's first album release in 1977.
The band mates chose the vehicle as a tour bus thanks to the Sedona's sizeable storage capacity, with the five rear seats capable of sliding back, folding down or being taken out depending on how much space will be taken up by drums and guitars.
And the provision of an in-built CD player compatible with MP3s was another appealing factor for the music lovers, according to From The Jam band member Russell Hastings.
"While we go from venue to venue rocking the masses, we will be kept entertained on the road with all the gadgets," he said.
"The Sedona is definitely a fantastic tour bus to keep From The Jam jammin'."
KKia recently announced plans for a new design website, scheduled for launch at the end of this month, which will enable members of the public to preview features such as alloy wheels and bike racks online before deciding whether to buy.
