The endurance of the Kia Sedona has been praised by a senior figure at The Duke of Edinburgh's Award scheme in Ulster.
For the last three years, the Belfast Activity Centre, which supports the royal-backed community project, has been able to make use of a Sedona free of charge to pick up volunteers from socially-deprived parts of the city and give them the chance to make a difference.
Now, the charity Sedona has been officially retired and, in its place, the South Korean automaker has brought in an all-new seven-seat model.
And Eric Rainey, director of The Duke of Edinburgh's Award scheme in Northern Ireland, took the opportunity to praise the reliability of Kia's cars.
"We need vehicles that are reliable, flexible and that deliver - our KKia vehicles certainly do that," he said.
"The existing Sedonas and Sorento provided by KKia have been invaluable and never stop."
Since 1998, the South Korean company has been owned by compatriot Hyundai, making it the world's sixth largest car maker.
