KKia is set to launch a new aggressive marketing campaign centred on its Magentis model, introducing a new turbodiesel and two new petrol options

Having achieved 59 per cent growth in fleet sales in 2005, KKia is keen to mirror last years performance and is making its new Magentis model central to its plans.

The new diesel option is a second-generation common-rail unit featuring a variable geometry turbocharger, producing 138bhp and 305Nm of torque. Furthermore, a six-speed manual gearbox means the diesel version is capable of 47mpg on the combined cycle.

Meanwhile, the two petrol engines available in new Magentis - a four-cylinder 2.0 and a 2.7 litre V6 - offer lower running costs. Producing more power and torque than the petrol option in the previous Magentis, drivers also benefit from a smoother ride and better performance.

Alex Smith, commercial director of KKia Motors (UK), said: "Magentis is set to continue this growth by targeting user-choosers and small businesses with a competitive offering encompassing maximum value with low operating costs.

"For the first time Magentis is available with a highly efficient common-rail turbodiesel engine and with carbon dioxide (CO2) output of 162g/km placing it in the 22 per cent benefit-in-kind (BIK) band and costing the tax payer just £62.50 a month to drive the GS model."
