Kia to raise prices
People who head to Kia dealerships from next month may find the cars are more expensive than they were expecting.The manufacturer has revealed it has reluctantly decided to increase the prices of most of its models.
It explained this had become necessary in the face of rising costs, resulting from the weak pound.
The company said it had resisted increasing prices for as long as possible, but it no longer had an option.
Most models will be about three per cent more expensive from April 1st, but the Soul and Magentis will be exempt.
Paul Philpott, managing director, claimed even when the rises were implemented the firm's cars would still represent excellent value for money.
"The increase we are making now will be kept to an absolute minimum and still maintains Kia's competitive position in the market," he stated.
Meanwhile, the manufacturer recently announced it was introducing a seven-year warranty for some of its used cars.
