Carmaker KKia Motors has unveiled a 'preview design sketch' of its new Carens compact MPV.
The new vehicle will make its official world premiere at this year's Salon International del Automovil in Madrid, Spain, on May 25th.
The new Carens replaces the current model and is longer, taller and wider, with European consumers offered the option of seven seats for the first time.
Delegates at the Parque Ferial Juan Carlos 1 exhibition for the bi-annual motor show will be the first to see the new Carens, which is roomier and more versatile than previous incarnations.
The Carens' rear seats will fold into the boot floor, providing excellent storage space, and it will enable KKia to compete effectively with other leading MPV models, with both five and seven seat versions available.
Renamed Rondo in the United States, the Carens is the sixth new KKia model to premiere at a European motor show.
