Mother names child after Kia Carens car
Buying a new car to accommodate their growing family does not look like it will be a problem for one couple, who have been given a brand new Kia Carens.The manufacturer gifted the vehicle to Sam Smyth and Tony Richardson after hearing that their baby girl was born in the back of her granny's model on the way to the hospital.
And to celebrate, the new parents decided to name the little one Kia.
In addition to presenting the couple with their hot-off-the-production line seven-seat Kia Carens, the company is also providing waterproof seat covers and car bags to help the family out.
Ms Smyth said she was really pleased with the new motor.
"At the moment we only have a four-seat car so this will mean we can get the family about in comfort," she exclaimed. "Thank you to Kia for arriving and to Kia for the car!"
Meanwhile, earlier this week saw the manufacturer announce that the first US-built model in its range had been completed.
The Sorento in question is white and was created in the state of Georgia.
