Jaguar XJ scoops prize
The Jaguar XJ has been voted Luxury Car of the Year at the Business Car Awards 2007, the second year running that it has won the award.It beat off competition from the likes of BMW, Lexus and Audi to clinch the award, which was voted for exclusively by Business Car readers, New Car Net reports.
The managing director of Jaguar UK, Geoff Cousins, said the company was "delighted" with the success of the Jaguar car and the praise it had received from readers of the magazine.
He went on to say that the vote reflected the 23 per cent increase in XJ sales between 2005 and 2006.
"With the introduction of the diesel engine in 2005, the XJ has become a much more competitive vehicle in both the fleet and retail market," he added.
A review in Hispania News earlier this week praised the 2007 XJ, saying that the Sedan "continues to evolve and improve".
