Jaguar XJ Series Sovereign

With its traditional XJ look for this latest incarnation, Jaguar knows its market. Most chief executives and managing directors prefer XJ's understated sophistication to the brutish looks of BMW's 7-Series. Don't be fooled by XJ's classic lines, this is a thoroughly modern motor, with an all-aluminium bodyshell, six-speed automatic transmission and air suspension. XJ6 offers sufficient performance with acceptable running costs. XJ TDVi offers class-leading fuel economy and astonishing refinement as well as excellent performance.

The latest Jaguar is bigger on the inside than ever before, Comfort won't be an issue, as Jaguar's luxury interiors are second to none. While the petrol engines are refined, the new V6 diesel is exceptional. It's as quiet inside as the petrol XJ6 and special electronically controlled hydraulic engine mounts cancel out 90% of idle vibration. It means there is less vibration detected inside the car than any diesel rival, as well as the XJ6. From September 2005 all models come with acoustic laminated glass and improved sound insulation with a new bulkhead design.
