Jaguar X-Type given makeover as 2008 approaches
Automaker Jaguar has updated its X-Type for the year ahead.The company has installed a 2.2-litre diesel engine into a new version of the model, one which will be available to consumers from March 2008.
It added that the unit will come with automatic transmission; a feature Jaguar believes broadens the appeal of the car.
As a result of the changes, the firm has stated that it is offering real value for money to drivers.
Indeed, global marketing director for Jaguar CJ O'Donnell said the car "stands for accessibility, versatility, luxury and choice".
"The package of revisions - particularly the automatic transmission in the 2.2 diesel - presents our established dealers and the key emerging markets with an excellent opportunity to reach new customers and retain existing owners," he added.
Jaguar is currently in the process of being sold by parent company Ford, although the automaker has yet to receive a firm offer.
