Hyundai dealerships 'busier than ever'
The number of people piling through the doors of Hyundai dealerships up and down the country has increased as a result of the scrappage scheme, it has been claimed.According to the manufacturer, demand for its vehicles has risen significantly since the government initiative was launched.
Managing director Tony Whitehorn stated: "Customers are literally queuing up in front of salesmen's desks.
"Hyundai dealers have never seen anything like it and are taking on extra staff just to cope with the demand."
The group suggested the popularity of its models is down to the fact they represent great value for money and are built to high standards.
Several ship-loads of the company's vehicles are scheduled to be delivered to the UK over the coming weeks, with all of the cars onboard already spoken for.
In related news, Hyundai recently reported sales to British customers increased by 36.61 per cent in May.
