Hyundai Getz praised for spaciousness

The spaciousness of the Hyundai Getz has received praise during a recent car review.

Automotive analyst Bob Hickman, writing in the Shropshire Star, has stressed the wide range of extra features that come with the supermini.

For instance, all Getz models come with power steering, engine immobilisers, driver and passenger airbags and electric front windows as standard.

However, Mr Hickman focussed on Hyundai's decision to use of lots of glass in the design to create an impression of airiness.

"If you give a vehicle lots of glass, you create an aura of spaciousness," he said.

"The amount of space both in the vehicle for passengers and also boot space for shopping was astounding," he added.

Earlier this month, Hyundai announced that it had witnessed record monthly sales in September.

In part, Tony Whitehorn, Hyundai's UK managing director, attributed the company's 5.47 per cent year-on-year rise in vehicle sales to the popularity of the Getz model.
