Ford brings high-performance cars to Goodwood
Automobile manufacturer Ford has announced that it will be bringing a number of high-performance vehicles to this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed.The company, an ever-present sponsor of the event since it began in 1993, will present former Indy 500-winning cars, Formula 1 models and British Touring Car Championship vehicles when the exhibition gets underway on July 11th.
Furthermore, the automaker has announced that the Le Mans-winning GT40 and seven-litre Galaxie will also be on display.
"In a year in which Ford celebrates two important dates - the centenary of the launch of the Model T and the 40th anniversary of the arrival of the Escort - there will be an array of famous Ford vehicles at Goodwood," the company commented.
Earlier this week, Land Rover announced plans to celebrate its 60th anniversary at the exhibition.
The firm will show off the original Land Rover model from 1948 as part of a special feature.
