'Fantastic Ford cars' tempt buyers
The number of car buyers heading to Ford dealerships up and down the country is on the rise because of the firm's fantastic line-up of vehicles, it has been claimed.According to the manufacturer, the fact it saw its market share rise from 13.7 per cent in June 2008 to 16.9 per cent last month is down to the quality of its products.
Managing director Nigel Sharp said: "To beat a fiercely competitive market in the tough economic climate we're in proves that customers see the new Ford vehicle range as an exciting opportunity not to be missed."
The company also partly attributed its growing sales to the scrappage scheme.
In June, the group shifted some 29,800 new autos in the UK - up from 28,657 during the same month last year.
Meanwhile, Ford has announced the music that accompanied its latest Ka television advert is being released due to popular demand.
