New Ford Mondeo shown to the world
Ford has released the first images of the all-new Mondeo ahead of its official launch date later this year.Although motoring enthusiasts will be able to see the vehicle first-hand at the Geneva motor show in Switzerland in March 2007, the pictures confirm that the family car will feature some of the most up-to-date motoring innovations around.
An MP3 connector socket, air conditioning unit, electronic stability programme and trip computer will all come as standard from the launch onwards.
However, there will also be a host of other features available, including a programme to assist with hill starts, a system to monitor tyre pressure and an adaptive cruise control device.
Roelant de Waard, chairman and managing director of Ford of Britain, remarked: "The exciting new Mondeo is very important to us.
"It's probably the most elegant car we've ever launched and it's certainly the most technologically advanced."
A one-off prototype of the new Ford Mondeo was featured in Casino Royale, the latest instalment of the James Bond film franchise.
