New Ford Mondeo is a 'fine all-rounder'
The all new Ford Mondeo has picked up another five-star review, this time for the entry-level Edge model.The new Mondeo collected the Car of the Year award in Auto Express's 2007 New Car Honours after the magazine's assessors had tested some of the top end versions.
Now he has had chance to test a model shorn of all the desirable extras, Auto Express's Chris Thorp's opinion remains the same.
"The price of Ford's entry-level Mondeo seems at odds with its sheer size and on-road abilities," writes Mr Thorp.
It has a much simpler look, both inside and outside, than some of its more expensive siblings, but it still proves to be a "fine all-rounder" out on the road, he continues.
The Edge is available from £14,995 and Mr Thorp concludes that "for sheer value, the Mondeo is a top choice in any trim".
Autocar magazine recently described the Ford Mondeo Estate as the "most practical and stylish" version of the car.
