Latest Ford Mondeo may tempt eco-friendly drivers
Motorists looking to buy a new car in the coming months may want to pay a visit to their local Ford dealership.The manufacturer has suggested its latest Mondeo EConetic model could be ideal for those keen to reduce pressure on the planet and their pocket.
With a 2.0-litre 115PS engine, the car is capable of fuel economy of 54.3 mpg on the combined cycle and this increases to 64.2 mpg when the vehicle is cruising on the motorway.
As a result, owners may find they can make savings at the pump.
In addition, the model boasts CO2 emissions of 140 g/km, so buyers will be looking at an annual road tax bill of £120.
Commenting on Ford's environmentally-friendly range, Mondeo brand manager Jon Gunn-Smith said: "More people than ever are recognising that ECOnetic delivers the right balance for them."
In other news, the manufacturer recently announced it had built an automatic Fiesta.
