Ford scoops fleet prize ahead of new Mondeo launch
Ford has been named as the best automaker by the fleet industry as it prepares to launch the all-new Mondeo, company bosses may be interested to hear.At the 19th Fleet News awards, voted for by fleet managers across the UK, Ford scooped the title of Fleet Manufacturer of the Year.
And it was not the only award scooped by the blue opal on the night - the Ford S-Max was named best large MPV [multi-purpose vehicle], with judges highlighting its combination of space and versatility.
Kevin Griffin, Ford of Britain's director of fleet operations, said that the industry recognition was important for the company as it prepares to unveil the revamped Mondeo.
"With the launch of [the] all-new Mondeo underway, these awards are significant," he said.
"This helps to confirm that our strategies are correct, not just in the showroom, but among fleet customers too."
As well as the Mondeo, Ford car dealerships across the UK sell a range of other vehicles, such as the Fiesta supermini, the Focus family car and the C-Max MPV.
