Ford S-Max named the best new fleet car by industry insiders
The Ford S-Max has just been named New Fleet Car of the Year, in news that could well boost demand for the model.Handed out at the BusinessCar awards ceremony, named after the automotive fleet management publication, the title is voted for entirely by the readership.
Effectively then, the award gives official industry recognition to the popularity of the S-Max as a company car vehicle.
Tristan Young, editor-in-chief at BusinessCar, commented on the triumph of the S-Max.
"The S-Max's win demonstrates not only the continuing shift away from the default Mondeo company car choice but also Ford's timely response to the demands of business customers," he said.
Last month, Ford pointed out that any incoming calls on a Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone can be automatically diverted to the S-Max's speakers by using its Bluetooth hands-free equipment.
From February 27th 2007, all motorists found using a handheld mobile will face a £60 fixed penalty notice and three points on their licence following revisions to the Road Safety Act.
