For your drive only…

James Bond aficionados will soon be able to get behind the wheel of their very own Bond car, it has been reported.

Fresh from an appearance at the Geneva motor show earlier this month, the Ford Mondeo used in the film Casino Royale will soon be turned into a special new trim level, reports Auto Express.

The trim aims to be a faithful replica of the version that featured on the big screen, featuring five-spoke alloy wheels and side skirts.

Fans of the British secret agent franchise may also be interested to hear that the model also incorporates a front splitter, chrome griller and bootlid spoiler.

In other Bond news, this week it was confirmed that Ford was selling the Aston Martin marque to a consortium led by British motorsport entrepreneur Dave Richards.

The deal means that Aston Martin, arguably the brand most closely associated with James Bond down the years, is back in British hands for the first time since 1994.
