Ford announces new Ka range
Automotive manufacturer Ford has unveiled its new range of models in the Ka vehicle group. This year marks the tenth anniversary of the popular Ford Ka's arrival, which has sold almost 400,000 vehicles since its introduction to UK customers.
Now, the latest Ka models will arrive in Ford showrooms aiming to cater for people ranging from students on a budget to sports car enthusiasts.
The most inexpensive model, the Studio, will retail at £7,095 on the road while prices increase incrementally for the Style, the Style Climate, the Zetec, the Zetec Climate, the Luxury and the Sportka SE - although all models cost less than £10,000 on the road.
Commenting on the range, Ford of Britain marketing director Mark Ovenden said: "Today's Ka driver still loves the funky look of Ka but also wants more technology and luxury.
"We have added a higher specification to the mid-range models and greater value in the high-end models to cater for this."
The Ford Ka may particularly appeal to drivers with an enthusiasm for well-designed vehicles.
In 1998, the Design Council chose it as one of the first Millennium Products in recognition of its design innovations, before putting it on show in the Spiral of Innovation at Greenwich.
