Focus goes topless
Ford has launched the new Focus Coupe-Cabriolet at the Geneva Motor Show and the car has received a very positive reaction.Although there are many cars with a solid yet folding roof, the Focus has been met with wide praise after the prototype Vignale concept was launched at the Paris show in 2004.
Although little about the car's look bears much resemblance to the overwhelming popular Focus, with the rear-end looking "distinctly Italian", the car has enough of the original style from the bonnet forwards to please fans of the initial model.
The car comes with three engine choices 99bhp 1.6-litre and 143bhp two-litre petrol units, as well as the 134bhp TDCi turbo diesel.
However, those hoping for even more push will be interested to see if Ford brings in the 2.5-litre five-cylinder turbo engine from the high-performance Focus ST.
But the car's biggest selling point must be its boot space, as the Coupe-Cabriolet has a huge luggage compartment space of 500 litres, although, of course, come of this will be taken up by the fantastic folding roof.
